Club was established in 1898 in the present location on club Road, Belgaum. One of the oldest clubs in the Belgaum, in the best traditions of English country clubs, has a recorded history of a century and a score. Today with a glorious history scaling for about 100 years, the club has grown steadily.

Sets on Vengurla Road, Perfect Retreat, From the humdrum of the city life, Makes every member and his family feel at home with its friendly green environment. During the 1st Feb. 1898 and situated in approximately 11 Acre of land, the Belgaum Club was Established. Easily accessible from the Airport, Railway, Central Bus Stand and Business Centre. Its just 8kms from the sambra Airport, 1kms from Railway Station, Central Bus stand and from the Business Centre.

Club Office Timings are 10-30a.m. to 1.30p.m. and later 5.30p.m. to 8.30p.m. The person to Contact for more information is the manager of the club.

The Club explodes with the most incredible outdoor and indoor possibilities and culminates in a place that is as temperate as its verdant surroundings. The declared objective of the club includes the promotion of fellowship, Sports of all kinds Literary and Cultural Activities, Physical, Moral and Intellectual development and lastly social / cultural welfare of the members and their families.

The State’s First Association with game was way back in 1900, when it was introduced at Belgaum club, Which was built that year. The game at Belgaum Club was played with wooden bats instead of rackets and resembled badminton’s ancestor, battledore and shuttlecock, more than the modern game. It was little more than a social past time, played on coir matting. Tournaments were held, but restricted to club members, with the ‘Jumbled Doubles’ being the most popular event.

Belgaum Club has affiliations with numerous clubs of its type and class, at home and abroad. In pursuit of excellence in club life, the torch of tradition has been passed on, down the years. The years have added to this heritage.
